Saturday June 16 Banff

Raining when we got up today. Went into Banff from our Amusement Park campsite.    At Banff, we stopped and had lunch at a picnic area while the rain cleared.  Then we hit a trail called Ink Pots trail.  Crazy trail.  For the first 1/2 mile it was paved and packed with people going to the falls destination.  After that it thinned out some.  It thinned out a bunch at about 1.5 miles.  Mostly uphill and about 4.25 miles to the top where the Ink Pots where (these were bubbling pools that were colored by rocks around there).  Got rained on while we were on the trail.  On this trip where we expected rain, we outfitted ourselves with rain gear for the trail.

After Banff, we returned to our Amusement Park campsite.  It started to rain again on the way back.

Pots trail end - Views were fantastic!
Start of the trail - Sunny and cool at the start.  Tons of other people.
