Drove
to Chena River Recreation area (50 miles) to the Granite Tors hiking
trail.
We did about 8 miles of the 15
mile trail, with starting elevation of 700 ft and finished at 2000 ft.
Perfect day for a hike.
The lower part was a boardwalk because it
crossed a bog area, and then went up the rest of the way.
Partially cloudy and temps in the mid 60's.
A lot of mosquitoes at the start/end of the
trail, but the rest was clear.
Bug spray
worked.
We had lunch at the top of a
mountain, with a great view.
