Tuesday 7/31 drive to Carstairs Alberta Canada

Left Hythe fairly early around 8:00 am.  Rained off and on, on the drive.  Not enough to clean off the dust from the camper or the jeep,  On there pretty solid.  Temps in the 70's.

Drove the bypass around Edmonton.  Was surprised at how large Edmonton was.  Mostly did a lot of driving today.  The highways were good now and were nearly like an Interstate.  We took HW 43 to Edmonton.  It was a very large highway, but had no overpasses as crossroads were allowed directly onto it.   What this allowed was the trucking over very large and tall things.  Going the other way from us (westbound), we seen multiple rigs with huge loads that took up both lanes (and then some) and were very tall.  These would not fit under a normal overpass on an Interstate in the US.  Traffic was backed up forever behind these rigs.

Camped at a city campground at Carstairs Alberta.  This was actually a very nice campground for only $22.  It was mostly full, but very quiet and our campsite overlooked a big wheat field.
