Drove from Watson
Lake to Whitehorse. Again, this was a
really good drive for scenery. We did
get into some long stretches on the road, where it was stone and dust. The camper and the jeep were covered in
dust. The protection that I added for
the Jeep (rock guard on the front and rock guard mud flaps for the rv) continued to work. No broken windshields. This is a 2 lane road and the truck roaring
past going the other way, makes one grit their teeth hoping that the rocks the
trucks are throwing don't cause damage.
Once we got to
Whitehorse, we decided to play 9 holes of golf.
We found a nice course in Whitehorse.
It was amazing what they can do with a golf course in this type of
climate. With it being daylight for 22
hours a day, the courses can possibly keep open nearly all day and night.
Weather today was
really nice. Bright sun and high around 72.
After golf, we drove
down the road about an hour outside of Whitehorse and found a parking area that
we camped for the night. Again, we can
do that at nearly any parking area along the road.
